Impressive carved pig skull adorned with a carved face and engraved kaif geometric motifs.

The skull is in excellent condition, with all of its teeth intact. Some whitish traces due to the presence of residues of limestone dust.

Skulls like the one offered here bear witness to ritual sacrifices conducted to beseech the aid of ancestors in addressing various concerns, such as illnesses and calamities, or as a preventive measure. They were also employed to invoke positive outcomes, such as a prosperous harvest or a successful endeavor, journey, or new phase of life. The skulls of the sacrificed animals were preserved and suspended or positioned beneath the roof of the traditional hut.
