Artifacts from Flores
Flores is home to several distinct groups — Ngada, Nage, Manggarai, Lio, Sikka — with separate languages and carving traditions. In the Ngada highlands, villages are laid out around ceremonial spaces marked by megalithic structures and by the ngadhu and bhaga, paired ancestral monuments. Carved architectural elements from traditional houses are among the objects that circulate.
